01 — Report data
Reports you upload are parsed and analyzed entirely in your browser. We never receive the raw rows of your spreadsheet on our servers. When you save a dashboard, we persist only aggregated KPI snapshots — totals, classifications, scores — not the underlying records.
02 — Account data
When you sign up we store your email, name, profile photo (if you authenticate with Google), and your plan status. We use this to authenticate you and to send transactional email (signup confirmation, password reset, billing receipts).
03 — Usage telemetry
We log upload events, dashboard views, and export actions so we can size the product and detect abuse. Telemetry is tied to your account ID, never to the content of your reports.
Separately, our public pages — the marketing site and the free calculators — carry Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count page views and measure loading performance without cookies and without any identifier that persists between visits. Before a URL is recorded we reduce it to the page path plus our own campaign tags, discarding every other query parameter and the fragment. Neither script runs on a signed-in page. See the cookie policy for the detail.
04 — Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share with infrastructure providers (Supabase for database, Vercel for hosting, Resend for email, Razorpay for payments) strictly to operate the service.
05 — Browser extension
The Chrome extension runs only on Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra product pages. It reads the page you are already looking at in order to score the listing, and that reading happens on your machine — the page content is never sent to us. The extension has no account, no sign-in and no telemetry: we cannot tell that you installed it, or which listings you looked at.
It stores one thing on your own device, through Chrome's local storage: a count of how many listings you have analysed and whether you have answered the feedback prompt, so that the prompt appears once and then stops. Nothing about the products themselves is kept. Uninstalling removes it.
It makes one network request, and only on Amazon: the competitor snapshot loads Amazon's own public search results for your keywords, with credentials omitted so it is not tied to your Amazon session. Nothing is requested on Flipkart or Myntra. If you email feedback from the panel, that email reaches us the ordinary way — because you sent it.
06 — Your rights
You can export, correct, or delete your account data at any time from settings. Write to support@marketplacesidekick.com for anything that the dashboard can't do for you.
