01 — What we use
Marketplace Sidekick uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies for authentication (Supabase session), theme preference (dark or light), and CSRF protection. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
02 — Local storage
We use browser local storage to cache parsed report data during your session. This data lives only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Clearing browser data wipes it.
03 — Analytics
Two separate things, and it is worth keeping them apart. Inside the signed-in app, first-party usage analytics (a server-side event log) are tied to your account ID — that is how the upload meter counts. On our public pages only — the marketing site and the free calculators — we load Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure loading performance.
Those scripts set no cookies and store no identifier that can follow you between visits or between sites, which is why this site has no cookie consent banner. Before a URL is recorded we reduce it to the page path plus our own campaign tags (the utm_ parameters we add to our own links); every other query parameter and the whole fragment are discarded. Neither script runs on a signed-in page, so no page of your report data is ever reported to a third party.
04 — Controls
You can clear cookies and local storage from your browser settings. Removing the authentication cookie signs you out. Removing the theme cookie resets to default (dark).
